ThermoEnergy Names David Garman as Advisory Director

LITTLE ROCK, Ark., Sep 05, 2007 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- ThermoEnergy Corporation ("ThermoEnergy")
TMEN is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. David Garman to the Company's Advisory Board of Directors. Mr. Garman is a respected, successful former Under Secretary of Energy as well as Assistant Secretary for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy. In addition to his service at the Department of Energy, Mr. Garman's government service includes 27 years of Federal Executive and Legislative experience. He is currently a principle in the consulting firm Decker Garman Sullivan and Associates, LLC of Alexandria, Virginia.
As Under Secretary, Mr. Garman led several multi-billion dollar enterprises, shaped national energy policy at the highest levels, and played a leading role in the development and execution of major Presidential initiatives. During his tenure at the Department of Energy, Mr. Garman represented the United States Government at a number of key international meetings and negotiations; and testified before Congress an unprecedented forty seven times.
Prior to his service in the Executive Branch, Mr. Garman served two United States Senators and two Senate Committees over the course of two decades, including the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources and the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence. While in the Senate, he also served the Senate leadership as their observer to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change from 1995-2001.
