ThermoEnergy Announces New Advisory Director

LITTLE ROCK, Ark., Oct. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ThermoEnergy Corporation ("ThermoEnergy") (OTC Bulletin Board: TMEN - News) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Donald F. Farley to the Company's Advisory Board of Directors. Mr. Farley is Chief Executive Officer of Spencer Trask's Specialty Group, LLC. The Group is focused on emerging and development companies specializing in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, diagnostics, specialty chemicals and food ingredients. Mr. Farley began his professional career with Pfizer, Inc. in 1965, and has extensive general management, international business and technical experience. During his 33 year career with Pfizer, Mr. Farley served as President of Pfizer Consumer Health Care, and as President of Pfizer Food Science Group. Mr. Farley received his BS in chemical engineering from The University of Rhode Island and his MBA from The University of Hartford.

Mr. Farley is Chairman of Vyteris, Inc., a drug delivery company with unique technology. He also serves as Chairman of Stolle Milk Biologics, Inc. a provider of healthful ingredients from milk. Mr. Farley currently serves on several Boards including Minrad, a surgical device and pain management company; Verification Technologies, Inc., developers of product authentication technology; Wynden Pharmaceuticals; and Healthcare Providers Direct. Development activities with other Specialty Group, LLC clients include technologies related to conductive inks, proprietary nutraceuticals and food products, and bio-based, environmentally friendly specialty chemicals. Mr. Farley also privately invests in businesses and is principal investor and adviser to Ready Minds, Inc. a career counseling startup company. Mr. Farley is a member of the University of Rhode Island President's Advisory Council.
